Andreas Gabalier: Surprise! He publishes his first Christmas album

Andreas Gabalier will be releasing his first Christmas album in November. He owes the time for production to the corona pandemic.

Fans can look forward to: Andreas Gabalier (35, "I sing a Liad for di") is releasing his first Christmas album with the appropriate title "A Volks-Rock'n'Roll Christmas". According to Gabalier, the songs on it are "as personal and warm as possible" and have "at the same time a timeless character".

The native Austrian is finally fulfilling his big dream. In the past few years Gabalier simply didn't have the time to record a Christmas album. Then the corona pandemic came and the 35-year-old suddenly had a practically empty schedule. Together with his long-time producer Matze Roska, Gabalier finally set about producing a total of 15 songs. They were created last Christmas – including in the US city of Nashville.

Support for strings, choir, big band and orchestra

On "A Volks-Rock'n'Roll Christmas" you can "literally taste the cinnamon, hear the crackling fireplace and smell the roast from the kitchen", says the singer's homepage. In addition to the Gabalier-typical sound, the new Christmas long player offers "detailed string arrangements, highly virtuoso choir pieces, whole big bands and orchestras".

Andreas Gabalier's first Christmas album will be released on November 20th as a standard CD and as a fan box. In addition to the sound carrier, the box also contains an embroidered tablecloth, a printed candle and a wooden star.
