Google released Android 13. Depending on the model, however, it will take weeks or months before the update reaches cell phones from manufacturers such as Samsung or Xiaomi. Don’t want to wait? For some smartphones there is an option to get Android 13 through other channels.
Because the first custom ROMs based on the new cell phone OS are circulating online. Custom ROMs are unofficial firmware mostly created by fans for a specific cell phone model. The US magazine XDA-Developers has compiled a list of safe ROMs based on Android 13. These can still contain bugs, but the use should be largely harmless.

- Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro and Redmi Note 10 Pro Max
Even though Android 13 brings many benefits, you should think twice before installing the unofficial version, as it could well lead to some problems. For example, some default apps might not be installed and Google apps might also be missing. You also risk your guarantee.
Despite this, most ROMs work fine and the list from XDA Developers reveals which version is at what risk. It also contains the relevant download links.
