Android 13, Galaxy S23 style design… we know what the Samsung Galaxy A24 would look like

While all eyes are on the Galaxy Unpacked event, expected in a few weeks, the design of a smartphone that will not be presented there is leaking in large widths: that of the Galaxy A24. It would nevertheless borrow a lot from the aesthetics of the next Galaxy S23.

The Galaxy S23 will arrive on the market after its presentation at the Galaxy Unpacked event in February… and it’s a safe bet that its design will irrigate the other ranges of Samsung smartphones expected later in 2023. Proof begins with the first 3D renderings of the Galaxy A24, unveiled by TheTechOutlook (via SamMobile).

We discover an elegant product that should indeed be inspired by the lines of its big brother to try to stand out in the accessible mid-range segment. As a reminder, this model should arrive this fall, probably below 300 euros, to take over from the current Galaxy A23, tested by us at the end of October.

Towards a new, more sober design?

Compared to the current model, and if this design is confirmed, the Galaxy A24 should change its chassis to adopt a slightly less rounded silhouette and slightly sharper lines. No more “bump” on the back to house the photo sensors, but three cameras integrated individually and vertically in the upper left corner, on the back of the device. Samsung would then resume the sensor layout expected on the Galaxy S23. A provision that the manufacturer would also use on all of its smartphones in 2023, understands SamMobile.

For its front face, the Galaxy A24 would remain close to the Galaxy A23, with the exception of the front sensor, this time integrated into a thin “U” notch, and no longer in a “drop of water”. The big “chin” at the bottom of the screen would stay in place.

Technically, the Galaxy A24 would finally include a MediaTek Helio G99 processor, a minimum of 4 GB of RAM and a 6.4-inch AMOLED screen. The device should come with Android 13 and a 4000 or 5000 mAh battery, without further details at this stage. The latter should take advantage of Samsung’s 25 W recharge, and there would be a photo part focused on a 50 Mpx main sensor, a 5 Mpx ultra-wide-angle sensor and a 2 Mpx macro module at the rear. On the front, the selfie sensor would finally go up to 13 Mpx (against 8 Mpx currently).
