Android 13: Samsung unveils the list of smartphones that will be entitled to the new OS


After announcing the deployment of One UI 5.0 based on Android 13 on the Galaxy S22, S22+ and S22 Ultra, Samsung has just unveiled the list of smartphones that will be able to take advantage of the manufacturer’s new overlay. We take stock together.

At the beginning of October 2022, Samsung announced the imminent arrival of One UI 5.0 with Android 13 on its latest Galaxy S22, S22 + and S22 Ultra. Rumors pointed to the October 24 date for the rollout. Well, they were right since the latest version of the manufacturer’s overlay landed on the devices concerned on Monday.

The distribution of One UI 5.0 on the Galaxy S22 has started in Austria, Croatia, France, Germany, Ireland, Poland, Portugal, Serbia, Slovenia, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. To find out if it is available on your S22, nothing could be simpler. Just go to Settings > Software Update > Download & Install.

However, and regarding the brand’s other smartphones, we were still in the dark. Which models will be able to migrate under One UI 5.0? When ? Good news, since Samsung has just answered these questions by unveiling the complete roadmap for the deployment of its latest overlay based on Android 13.

Note, however, that this calendar unveiled by Samsung is valid for the South Korean market. Nevertheless, the global roll-out schedule should not differ significantly from this one. In fact, that’s why this roadmap doesn’t include some eligible Galaxy devices because they weren’t released in South Korea. Whatever, Samsung is expected to release the roadmap for other markets in the coming days.
