Google plans to roll out a new feature on Android 14: convert to eSIM. As its name suggests, it allows you to convert a SIM card into an eSIM card, therefore dematerialized. Everything would be done without going through an operator. Going paperless has several advantages, such as greater security (you can’t lose it) and the possibility of putting two SIMs in the same phone when there is only one slot available. At the moment it is not yet possible to activate this functionality, but it should not be long.

The Chinese firm Xiaomi has formalized a number of phones, including several from the Poco range.
