Until now, you could only test Android 15 on Google Pixel phones. Now the new OS is also available as a beta for selected smartphones from other manufacturers. But there is a catch.

Google released a test version of Android 15 for its Pixel phones in April. Almost a month later, other manufacturers are now following suit and allowing you to try out the new OS on some of their smartphones. You can now test Android 15 on the following devices:
Trial version intended for developers only
However, there is a catch. The test versions are only intended for developers and experienced users. They are also still in a very early stage of development and may not yet contain all the features. In a blog post, Nothing therefore advises against installing them on devices that you use every day.
The installation is also time-consuming and has to be done manually. OnePlus points out that there is a risk that you could render your smartphone unusable if you do it incorrectly. The update also deletes all data on your device, so you must create a backup beforehand.
According to the press release, the beta version for the vivo X100 and the IQOO 12 is only available in selected countries. For the vivo X100, these are India, Taiwan, Malaysia, Thailand, Hong Kong, and Kazakhstan. For the IQOO 12, these are Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, and India.
At its developer conference Google I/O, Google gave a preview of Android 15. The focus of the update will be the artificial intelligence Gemini.
