A new application used to find charging stations for electric cars is appearing on Android Auto.
After releasing an application for Apple CarPlay allowing you to “easily and safely find the Nearest Fastned station while driving », the company announces the release of an application for Android Auto. The Fastned mobile application allows you to start a charging session for your electric car in one click, “ plan your route based on fast chargers the most reliable”, to check their availability, or to monitor the battery filling status live.

So many extremely practical features that were previously only available on smartphones. Using them while you were driving was inconvenient and even dangerous. Android Auto allows Android users to display their smartphone’s interface on a car’s infotainment system. This increasingly popular feature is also offered by Apple, with CarPlay. Remember, however, that this program is distinct from Android Automotive, an OS in its own right which replaces the car’s native operating system.

A ‘app for Android Auto is now available for Fastned customers who use Android and have a compatible electric vehicle. Thanks to its integration with Google Maps and Waze, Fastned allows “electric vehicle drivers to consult the availability of chargers in real time, to check kWh prices and get directions “.
