Android Auto introduces a much-requested feature to Google Maps

No more hassle trying to find where you parked your car! Google makes everything simpler with its latest Google Maps update.

Android Auto is an essential interface, especially for drivers who regularly use Google Maps. However, one crucial feature was missing from its arsenal: the ability to mark and find the car’s parking location. Fortunately, this gap has now been filled.

One can now have the option to save the parking location of their vehicle. This feature, available for years on the mobile version of Google Maps, was strangely absent from the Android Auto version.

With the latest update, this wait is over. Users can now record their vehicle’s location directly through Android Auto. Before this update, drivers had to resort to often tedious tricks like manually saving the parking location on their phone to find their car.

How does the new feature work?

With the latest update, Android Auto simplifies this process. Using Google Maps, since its last update, Android Auto allows us, via Google Maps, to save our parking location. It’s as simple as activating the corresponding tab (record parking). Once you check this box, when you leave the vehicle, you will be able to know its exact location and the route to it from your phone.

This information is available by opening the Google Maps application. In the search section, you will see an address that will say “oWhere is my car? », thus proposing the different possible routes to access it.

Note that it is important that the Google Maps app on your smartphone is up to date, as well as the Android Auto app.
