Or maybe you wanted to be reminded to do something at a specific time and you don’t want to set off an unpleasant alarm that could interrupt a meeting, a sleeping baby, or just some quiet time.
Anyway, knowing how to schedule sending SMS in Android can be very useful. Let me show you how easy it is to make.
How to schedule sending text messages
What you will need : the only thing you will need for this to work is an Android device with a suitable subscription (for texting). The function is in Posts, which comes pre-installed on all Android phones. So there is no application to install. Everything is there, ready to use.
1. Unlock your phone and open Messages
The first thing you need to do is unlock your Android phone and open the Messages app.
2. Start a chat
To do this, you can either create a new discussion (by pressing the button Start a chat), or open a pre-existing discussion. If you’re creating a new chat, you’ll select the recipient as you normally would.

3. Type your message
In the window that appears, type the message you want to send.

4. Open the scheduler
When you’re done typing the message, long press the send button (right-pointing arrow in the bottom right of the screen).
In the pop-up window that appears, select one of the three default times or choose a date and time.

5. Set Custom Time
If you choose a custom time, tap Select date and time. In the next window, you must first select the date, press Next, then set the time.

6. Save custom time
In the final window of the Time Customization Wizard, verify the time and date, then press Register. Once you’ve done that, you’ll see the text and time at the bottom of the window.
Push the button Send and the sending of your text is programmed. It will appear in the chat timeline with a special scheduling icon.

You can use this feature to schedule a message to be sent to a friend or family member, or even to send reminders to yourself, without having to resort to an annoying (and sometimes annoying) alarm.
