On Twitter, Mishaal Rahman recently spotted the arrival of a new feature for the Clock application on his Google Pixel. Far from being the app for which users are most impatiently awaiting updates, it’s a safe bet that this new feature could interest you in one way or another.
A new Android feature to start the day off right
Directly from the Clock application on your smartphone, you will soon be able to record audio. Indeed, a small red button will appear and give you the opportunity to express all your talent as a singer (or imitator). This option will then open your device’s recorder, and the recorded sounds will show up in the Clock app. Thus, you can select the recording of your choice and make it your alarm clock. Ideal to start the day well, isn’t it?
For the moment, this feature does not allow you to rename recorded sounds directly from the Clock application (you have to go through the Recorder app to do this). In other words, this means that your recording will automatically be named according to the current date and time. Anyway, the ability to create your own ringtones is currently only available on the server side and for certain users only. But there is no doubt that Google will soon begin the large-scale deployment.
