Angela Merkel rejects special treatment of her person. Like many others, she wants to wait patiently for her corona vaccination.

Chancellor Angela Merkel (66) is patient. As the CDU politician told the "Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung", she does not want and will not enjoy a special position with regard to receiving a corona vaccination. Instead, she thinks it is right "in addition to the particularly vulnerable and the elderly, to first invite population groups who cannot keep their distance in their job to be vaccinated." These are among others educators in daycare centers or schools. "People who should get a turn in front of someone like me," said Merkel.

Of course, she does not want to become infected with the virus either and "is doing a lot to prevent it". Merkel does not want to shake the vaccination sequence set by the federal government. "That is a sensible order that I want to stick to," declared the Chancellor. However, the 66-year-old refrains from a possible vaccination requirement. In her opinion, such a device is "not necessary given the overall high willingness to vaccinate".
