For Chancellor Angela Merkel, the meeting with Queen Elizabeth II on the fringes of the G7 summit was a “unique experience”.

On the sidelines of the G7 summit in England, the heads of state of the leading industrial nations met with Queen Elizabeth II (95). Apparently a special moment for Chancellor Angela Merkel (66). In a press conference Merkel called the meeting a “unique experience”.

“It was a great honor that three generations of the royal family spoke to us and came to us, especially of course The Majesty The Queen,” said Merkel. The G7 participants met with members of the Royal Family last Friday (11 June) in the “Eden Project” botanical garden in the seaside resort of Carbis Bay in Cornwall. Prince Charles (72) and Prince William (38) were also there.
