This year’s Bayreuth Festival will again be held in front of a large number of political celebrities. As the city of Bayreuth announced on ThursdayEU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen (64) and ex-Chancellor Angela Merkel (69) are expected.

Merkel is considered a permanent guest at the Richard Wagner Festival. The current Chancellor does not follow this tradition: he did not come last year, this year Olaf Scholz (65) is already on vacation.

The Richard Wagner Festival, also known as the Bayreuth Festival, takes place from Monday, July 24th to Monday, August 28th. instead of.
