Angelina Jolie: She donates a million dollars to starving children

Angelina Jolie (44, "Maleficent") wants to help starving children in the United States. The actress donates a million dollars to the organization "No Kid Hungry", which works to guarantee free meals for children who do not get meals at school due to the corona pandemic. "As of this week, more than a billion children worldwide have dropped out of school due to coronavirus closures," said Jolie in a statement quoting, among others, the US portal "E! Online".

"Many children rely on childcare and nutrition during school, including nearly 22 million children in America," said Jolie. "No Kid Hungry" would "make a determined effort" to reach as many of these children as possible.

Jolie isn't the only celebrity to donate during the Corona crisis: mixed martial arts fighter Conor McGregor (31), footballer Lionel Messi (32) and actor Arnold Schwarzenegger (72) each donated $ 1 million to organizations, provide protective equipment for hospitals.
