He sees himself as a “protective brother”: James Haven has revealed how he helps his sister Angelina Jolie and her children.
Angelina Jolie, 48, apparently received strong support from her brother James Haven, 52, after her dramatic split from Brad Pitt, 60, in 2016. In a rare interview, he spoke about how he changed his life to be there for his famous sister and her six children.
“Protective brother”
On the “90who10” podcast, co-host Jessica Entner, 47, explained how he supported Angelina Jolie while her private life “unfolded in the public eye” and she “went through things.” He is the “protective brother”. James Haven continued: “That’s where it all started, it started with protecting her and her children – my nieces and nephews. I have designed my life so that I can be present in every situation.” He emphasized: “I want to be there for her – whatever she’s going through.” It is also important to him to be present for the six children as they are in their “very formative years”. “They are becoming young adults, in their early 20s,” he added. “I think it’s just natural and I just want to be there at all times.” He got this quality of wanting to protect from his mother.
Angelina Jolie and her brother’s relationship has already made many headlines. They used to be very intimate at several events and even kissed each other on the mouth. Afterwards, the actress emphasized that it was simply “brotherly love.” In a joint interview, the siblings defended their kissing appearance on the grounds that the family was going through a difficult time because their mother, who died in 2007, was in the hospital at the time.
Long argument about the children
With her ex Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie has the children Maddox, 22, Pax, 20, Zahara, 18, Shiloh, 17, as well as the twins Knox and Vivienne, 15. After the former Hollywood dream couple separated, a bitter dispute broke out over custody , there were years of lawsuits and serious allegations. The custody of the minor children has still not been resolved.
