By mistake, a cleaning lady unplugged a fridge containing 1,056 vials of vaccine stored in one of the vaccination centers managed by the municipality of Angers.
As reported by Ouest-France, all the doses of Pfizer vaccine, 5,796 for adults and 1,280 for children, were thrown in the trash, for lack of having been stored in the required conditions.
On its website, Pfizer recalls that a thawed vial should be stored at 2 to 8 ° C. “Before use, the unopened bottle can be stored for a maximum of two hours at temperatures up to 30 ° C”, specifies the pharmaceutical giant.
The first internal investigations quickly made it possible to rule out the hypothesis of a malicious act allegedly committed by an anti-ax activist. However, this did not prevent the mayor of Angers from filing a complaint.
