This of course depends on the character of the animals (Sloth, Chic or Big Sister for example) but also, and above all, on the signature phrase you asked him to say after increasing his friendship with him.

Since the 2.0 update last November, animals can now invite themselves into your humble abode to visit you like in the old games.
