Animal died – deer ran across the street: several accidents

A crossing deer was responsible for several accidents in Hörsching (Upper Austria) on Sunday. A driver who was involved in an accident simply drove away.

A 39-year-old driver from the Sankt Johann im Pongau district was on Sunday at 6:08 p.m. on Bundesstraße 1 in the direction of Linz. In the municipality of Hörsching, her car collided with a deer crossing the road, which came to rest on the road. The driver parked her car at the next intersection and called the police. In the meantime, there was a follow-up accident at the scene of the accident. A 50-year-old driver from the Urfahr area wanted to avoid the carcass lying on the roadway and collided with the car on the right next to her. Dragged 30 meters with this was a 29-year-old driver from Serbia. Furthermore, an unknown vehicle driver ran over the deer and dragged it around 30 meters. The driver then left the scene of the accident without stopping. The three vehicles involved in the accident suffered damage of an unknown amount.
