Animal rescue – Noble jumping horse was rescued from the ditch

There was a large-scale operation of animal rescue and fire brigade on Saturday morning in Lauteracher Ried. A noble jumping horse had fallen backwards into a ditch and could no longer free itself on its own.

A herd of cows had made sure that the jumper “J’adore”, which was led by his rider by the reins, ran backwards and landed in a ditch. Since the noble horse could no longer free itself on its own, the Lauterach fire brigade had to be alerted.

The Florianis, who came with 20 people and were supported by the rescue of large animals from Switzerland, managed to free “J’adore” thanks to a special device after several hours of hard work.

Veterinarian Franz Zohmann, who was on site during the rescue, assumes that “J’adore” – estimated value: 500,000 euros – survived the accident and the rescue without major injuries.
