Attentive passers-by spotted the animal. It was stuck in an Almkanal weir in Brunnhausgasse in Salzburg-Nonntal. The passers-by called the police and the Austrian animal rescue service. With the help of a net, the greylag goose could be freed from the predicament unharmed. To clarify her state of health – and due to the current situation with avian influenza in Salzburg – she was taken to the veterinary clinic and examined there.
