Billie Eilish received a special honor: the singer was named “Person of the Year” by the animal welfare organization PETA.
“She’s someone people listen to – and not just when she’s singing,” enthuses PETA from Billie Eilish (19) in a press release. The singer was named “Person of the Year” 2021 by the animal welfare organization – an award with which stars such as Joaquin Phoenix (47), Oprah Winfrey (67) and Pope Francis (84) have been honored.
Eilish is therefore the youngest ever winner of the annual award. The singer not only brought out leather-free shoes, but also advertised vegan food. In addition, she has convinced designers like Oscar de la Renta to “stay away from fur,” continues PETA.
