proposed by Google, here is the news of the day should delight many of you!

Indeed, Chrome OS 100 will soon be accompanied by the arrival of animated screensavers!

Chrome OS welcomes animated screens

A few days ago, Google announced Chrome OS Flex, an initiative to give your old computers a second wind with a view to transforming them into a Chromebook. But today, the news concerns the arrival of animated screens within Chrome OS 100, as Google had already promised us.

This is the website About Chromebooks who made this discovery in an update reserved for the Chrome OS Dev Channel. Indeed, following this update, this one has seen a new setting emerge giving the possibility of activating animated screensavers. If for the moment a single theme is available, this is obviously intended to evolve in the future in order to offer a whole set of animated screensavers. Regarding the current theme, named “Feel the Breeze”it automatically selects photos from your Chromebook to display them on Polaroids, all in motion with the wind.

Along with many animated themes in the future, it should also be possible for Chrome OS users to create their own animated screensavers using the Lottie tool.
