Animation quiz: are you a real fan of Shrek, Madagascar, Dragons…?

On the occasion of the release of the DreamWorks animated film, The Bad Guys, here is a quiz on the studio’s feature films!

The latest feature film from DreamWorks Animation studios, The Bad Guys was released in theaters this Wednesday. Directed by Frenchman Pierre Perifel, who has worked at DreamWorks for many years, the film is adapted of a series of Australian children’s books born from the pen of Aaron Blabey.

The Bad Guys follows a band of animals, fearsome high-flying criminals, who are about to commit their most egregious misdeed: to become respectable citizens.

These five accomplices are infamous for their respective aptitudes for crime. But after years of incalculable misdeeds, those who have become without question the most wanted thugs in the world, end up being arrested. Mr Wolf then concludes a deal (which he obviously has no intention of honoring) in order to save his friends many years in prison: the Bad Guys will become honorable.

This is the 44th feature film from the studios to which we already owe: Shrek, Madagascar, Dragons, Kung-Fu Panda… Do you think you know anything about DreamWorks films? Test yourself !

As in each of its films, DreamWorks tackles serious subjects implicitly. In Bad Guys, it’s about prejudice and the image others may project of a person. In this case here these 5 so-called “scary” animals.

Pierre Niney, who lends his voice to the hero explains at the microphone of AlloCiné: “The film talks a lot about the image that others may have of us. These animals do not have a good press. And this theme is very strong and it is important today to talk about prejudices. Of those people who are ostracized and pigeonholed. It’s interesting to see that there’s a lot more behind the appearances, and it’s handled in a way that’s not cartoonish at all with multiple levels of reading for parents and children..”

The Bad Guys has been in theaters since Wednesday, April 6.
