These employees feel forgotten by the National Education, evidenced by their strike on December 14 to demand a revaluation of their jobs. Three of them confided to “Liberation” their fears, doubts or weariness of not being considered.
They are facilitators, canteen staff or educational assistants. On December 14 and 15, thousands of extracurricular animators went on strike to denounce their working conditions, fragmented schedules and the lack of recognition of their professions. The opportunity for Release to come back, on this back-to-school Monday, to these school workers, often forgotten and yet necessary.

Mélanie Chatelin would have liked to study literature and explore the works of the Pleiade. She finally passed the Bafa at 18 and found herself as an animator in a school in the Paris region first, then in Rennes (Ille-et-Vilaine). “I was not given a choice.
