Proud of its transmedia content, Ankama is launching into Webtoons. These small drawn or written series are usually a web exclusive, but in the case of the Krosmoz, the service will also bring together old edited content. From the manga Dofus to the stories of Wakfu via Ogrest, the list of content already promises to be long.
Ankama will launch its own special Krosmoz Webtoons service
First via a new tab on the Ankama Launcher, you will soon be able to find a selection of comic strips, comics and manga from the Ankama Editions stables. The latter will only include adventures in the Krosmoz universe at first before expanding. Speaking of which, an app of the same name (aka Krosmoz) will follow to expand access across iOS and Android.
This “Webtoon / Krosmoz” tab will soon appear for all players, subscribers or not. A first line-up is also unveiled. Other productions will be expected with some exclusives. We can notably mention the ideas of Webcomics of ToT to set up the universe of Waven before Wakfu Season 4.

How will it work?
Krosmoz will be a sort of subscription-free streaming service. The first “episode” of a series will be free. This concept of episode will be equivalent to 4-5 minutes of reading. According to the details of the Dofus team, a Manga may thus include 8 to 10 chapters while a comic strip 6 to 8. Note that a comic book volume is considered here as a series in its own right.
Beyond the first episode, “refills” will unlock the rest of the reading (no time limit)
- €4.99: 11 episodes
- €9.99: 23 episodes
- €14.99: 35 episodes
Regarding the application itself, it could quickly grow. Some hope in particular for the porting of video viewing from the Ankama Launcher or simplified connection via the Authenticator. To be continued, because for the moment no date has been revealed.
