Ankama postpones the release of Waven on PC and mobile – Gamosaurus

This is a new report in the video game industry, and this time it affects the French studio Ankama. Scheduled for the end of 2023, and probably to accompany the new season of the series Wakfuthe exit of Waven is finally postponed. However, no date has been communicated, even if the team assures that many projects will see the light of day in 2024. This announcement, as well as all those concerning the future of the game, were discussed during a dedicated live.

While it is commendable to want to take the time to refine the experience, the explanations given by the developers were not very reassuring. Despite a great start when it was launched in Early Access, Waven was only able to retain a small part of the players. But don’t panic, an update in December should add a lot of content. Scheduled for the 19th, uncertainty still reigns within the studio, which does not exclude the possibility of having to postpone it by a few days.

Tons of projects in the pipeline

The live will be the opportunity for Ankama to show its ambition for the game. If the release of Waven is postponed, a lot of content is planned for the coming months. From December 19, if all goes well, the third chapter of the Hard Throw season will see the light of day. It will be an opportunity to bring a new weapon for the Iop, the Astramantis. Unfortunately, this will initially only be available to players purchasing the Platinum pass. A hard blow for those who do not wish to spend a single cent, and who will be forced to wait.

In addition to this class, the island of Albuera will also open its doors. It will not be available from the launch of the update, and will offer a higher challenge. 5 quests, 2 dungeons, and finally a slightly different arena. The fight against Cire Momore will allow you to discover a terrain larger than the 7 squares by 7. Suffice to say that there will be a lot to do on this side. However, all this is only the beginning. Major projects are still to come for
Waven, even if nothing is dated yet. Nor even certain to see the light of day if we are to believe the way the developers talked about it.

In bulk, 2024 would reserve temporary servers for us as on Dofus, with special rules and an ending reward. The Sacrier should also make its debut this year, perhaps even with 2v2 at the Kolossium. Island havens should also receive a facelift, although asynchronous dungeons will now be naval battles. Finally, a Battle Royale was also mentioned, which raises more questions than anything else.
