Ankama will nerf Dofus achievements and their resources

With Dofus 2.68, Ankama is planning major changes to the experience and the drop. In addition to an idol revamp, the company announces an overall reduction in the obtaining of resources by achievements.

DOFUS: A nerf to resources through successes

Context is very important here. Currently, Dofus recipes are studied taking into account idols and the breeding of resources via successes. There are therefore many inconsistencies that affect the gaming experience to destroy the maximum number of resources.

With the removal of idols and the idea of a pass on the drop formulas, Ankama wants to alter the obtaining of objects as a reward for success. The latter provide a very large number of them, something easily observable at the start of the server or new zones. If they largely help single-account players to build their stuff, their multiplication makes it too interesting to pass only by the successes.

First, the gains from Dungeon achievements will be lowered. This will involve reducing their “free” aspect, while increasing the scarcity and profitability of resources. The Game Designers also want to add replayability, aka farming, especially with brand new drop rates.

Don’t worry, discussions are already flowing on the forum. The application options are numerous and other levers are also being studied. Thus, we can think of other successes, Monsters for example, or even an adaptation of existing equipment recipes. In fact, in addition to the continuation of the set overhaul, Ankama is also not ruling out a review of the consumption of dungeon keeper resources via crafting.

And when does this happen?

The achievement nerf should happen for Dofus with the 2.68 update. This is the summer patch, with a release date around June-July.
