Ann-Kathrin Götze: She talks about the difficult birth of her son

In an Instagram question and answer session, Ann-Kathrin Götze reveals details about her pregnancy and the challenging birth of her son Rome.

Her son Rome was born on June 5, 2020: Ann-Kathrin Götze (30) has now answered Instagram follower questions about her pregnancy, birth and her existence as a new mother. Among other things, the wife of professional football player Mario Götze (28) revealed that Rome was born by emergency Caesarean section "because he had problems in my stomach and was in the breech position".

Today her son is doing well and he is getting stronger by the minute, says Götze. During the birth, her husband was with her – "I couldn't have done it without him," explains Götze. During her pregnancy she had gained 20 kilos, which she was still "shocked" by, the model jokes.

She enjoys being a mother, even if it is very different from her life before and she misses traveling. "But he'll grow up so quickly." A nanny has not yet brought the couple in support, but does not rule it out if Rome is taller. What if father Mario had to move to another country because of his job? Then, of course, his little family comes along, emphasizes Ann-Kathrin Götze. "We are a family. Family stays together."

The model and the professional footballer have been a couple since 2012. In May 2018, the two said yes. Ann-Kathrin Götze announced her pregnancy via Instagram at the end of March. On June 8, the couple also announced the birth via Instagram.
