Fans can look forward to replenishment of the “Herzkino” series “Family Anders” on ZDF. Just outside of Leipzig, two more 90-minute films are currently being produced in Saxony, directed by Sebastian Stern (44), as confirmed by the Mainz broadcaster. The series celebrated a successful premiere in March 2023 with around four million viewers.

The focus is on the Leipzig couple therapist Fabian Anders (Moritz Treuenfels, 34), who helps every couple out of the crisis, but cannot save their own relationship with his wife Paula (Bettina Burchard, 37). The special concept of the film series: In addition to the regular ensemble, two prominent real life partners each play a couple in need of therapy in one episode.
