Anna-Carina Woitschack and Stefan Mross got married in front of a TV audience in 2020. Now the singer talks about the results after a year of marriage.

Anna-Carina Woitschack (28) and Stefan Mross (45) are considered the dream couple of the German hit. They like to show their love in public. The musician had made an application to his current wife in 2019 in front of the cameras for the “Advent Festival of 100,000 Lights”. The wedding also followed in front of a large TV audience in June 2020 on the ARD show “Schlagerlovestory.2020” with Florian Silbereisen (40) as best man. A year later, Anna-Carina Woitschack told the news agency spot on news: “I would definitely marry Stefan again!”

The 28-year-old singer receives a lot of support from her husband, for example with her new album “Träumer”, which will be released on August 20th. Mross is always at her side with words and deeds, but always gives me the freedom to implement my ideas in all decisions. In the interview, Woitschack also reveals how she remembers her time at “Deutschland sucht den Superstar” in 2011 and why naturalness is so important to her.

Her new album is titled “Dreamers”. Are you a dreamer yourself?

Anna-Carina Woitschack: I would say that I am a dreamer. There is actually no dream that is too big not to be achieved. Those who dream have goals. Not all dreams can always be realized, but you should definitely try. There are also many little dreams that one would like to fulfill. It is definitely a dream that I can now release an album for the tenth anniversary of the stage, despite the not so easy recent times, with few concerts and contact with the fans. So I’m all the happier that I’ll finally be able to meet my audience live again at many concerts in the coming months.

On the cover you show yourself with little make-up. Why is naturalness so important to you?

Woitschack: Naturalness is important to me because there is no reason to disguise or disguise yourself. I’ve just made the experience that the more you are true to yourself, the more authentic the fans perceive you. I just wanted to show myself who I am. We had a relaxed photo shoot and I think you can see that on the cover too. Basically, everyone should be able to show how they feel at home.

In the past two years you have mainly been traveling as a duo with your husband. Why do you want to start solo again now?

Woitschack: I’ve been on stage as a soloist for ten years and have been able to experience many wonderful concerts and moments. Stefan has been successful solo as a moderator, singer and instrumentalist for many decades. For us, the joint duets are always a bit of “the icing on the cake”. Also on my new album “Träumer” there are three duets of the 16 new songs.

In addition to my new songs and well-known titles, I will of course sing with Stefan again on our upcoming tours. Being able to sing with several voices on stage is always a very special musical moment – both for us and for the audience.

Behind the scenes of your new album, your husband was there, for example during the video shoots. How important is his support to you?

Woitschack: Stefan’s support is very important to me. Stefan has been successful in this business for over 30 years. So he is always at my side with his experience and advice and action, but always gives me the freedom to implement my ideas in all decisions. Of course, you are much more creative when you can work on ideas and their implementation with two people, like when shooting a video. Of course, there is also a lot of trust in the partner who knows you best.

Ten years ago you took part in “Deutschland sucht den Superstar”. How do you remember that time?

Woitschack: I only have fond memories of that time. It was the launch pad for everything that was to come. “DSDS” was my stepping stone. During this time I have developed as a singer and as a person in a short time, because you can sing live on a big stage in front of an audience of millions. The experiences you have there in one year are simply priceless. That was a great challenge and a healthy push into the deep end.

Would you recommend participating in a talent show?

Woitschack: With my experience, I can recommend it as an option to anyone looking for their way onto the stage. If you start singing as a layperson, your family or friends will surely find it great how you sing in your private environment. But at a casting show you get a professional assessment of whether the artistic potential you have is enough for a stage career.

Last year you got married live on TV. How do you remember that big day?

Woitschack: That was an unbelievable and unforgettable moment. In a difficult time for everyone, we were able to celebrate the most beautiful thing with many restrictions – love. I think we made a lot of people happy on the screens at that moment too.

Florian Silbereisen was your best man. How would you describe your friendship?

Woitschack: We were happy that Florian was by our side on this special day. Florian and Stefan have known each other for over 30 years – he is a very special colleague and friend for us.

You and Stefan Mross are known as the “dream couple of hits”. Do you like this term? Is that how you see yourself?

Woitschack: The term “dream couple” is given to you by the media or by the fans. But I think the term has a positive connotation and I am happy about it.

What is your balance after a year of marriage?

Woitschack: I would definitely marry Stefan again!

What are your future plans as a couple?

Woitschack: To stay happy and healthy, to continue having so much joy in private life and on stage and most importantly: to fulfill many dreams.
