Special day for the triplets Leonora, Naima and Amaya: The three youngest children of Bushido, 43, and Anna-Maria Ferchichi, 40, now have Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, 66, as honorary godparents.

“Today the Federal President took over the honorary sponsorship of our triplets,” announced the rapper in an Instagram story. He shows one of the three documents signed by Steinmeier in a photo. “Many thanks to the deputy district mayor for the nice reception,” continues Bushido.

“We are very happy about the honorary sponsorship, because the Federal President represents a completely different level, with which you hardly have any interfaces as a citizen,” explains his wife Anna-Maria Ferchichi to RTLthe broadcaster RTL in a statement. “It fills us with pride that our triplets each have a certificate from the head of state. It has a high emotional value for us.”

The family received “no extra treatment”, as Ferchichi emphasizes in her Instagram story. Because the Federal President takes on the honorary sponsorship for the seventh child in a family if the parents request this.

“The honorary sponsorship is primarily symbolic. It cannot be compared to a sponsorship for a christening”, it says on the official website of the Federal President. The honorary sponsorship emphasizes “the special importance that families and children have for our community” and should “contribute to strengthening the social prestige of families with many children”.

“We had to submit the application officially and very bureaucratically and have met all the requirements,” says Anna-Maria Ferchichi RTL. The Ferchichis donated the godfather gift, according to the family 1,500 euros. Last year, the Federal President took on 414 honorary sponsorships, since 1949 there have been a total of around 82,100.

Leonora, Naima and Amaya were born on November 11, 2021. Bushido and Anna-Maria Ferchichi previously had four children together, including twins. She brought a son into the marriage. The two have been married since 2012.
