Anna Netrebko: She is being treated in hospital for Covid-19

Anna Netrebko has contracted Corona and is in the clinic with pneumonia. Still, she feels like joking.

She may also have to spend her 49th birthday tomorrow, Friday, in the clinic. Because the Russian-Austrian opera star Anna Netrebko (48) has been treated there "for five days" for corona-related pneumonia. The artist announced this on Thursday herself via Instagram.

"I had two options – 1 – to stay at home and be afraid of getting infected, or – 2 – to work, drive around and take the risk of getting sick. I unconditionally chose 2 and I have no regrets," lets the singer know, followers. "As soon as I felt sick, I isolated myself, even though the tests were negative. I got to the hospital on time and I am treated," said Netrebko.

Two video clips and a photo – including the hospital scene with Daryl Hannah (59) as the murderous Elle Driver in Quentin Tarantino's "Kill Bill" (2003) – with which she garnished the post, show that the artist actually takes her predicament with humor .

How are your son and husband?

Anna Netrebko is confident. "I'll be better soon", she writes and "I can do it!" She also explains that it is "not as scary" as it is described. And apparently she doesn't have to worry about her relatives either: "My husband Yusif has antibodies! And is absolutely safe," she writes and her son, too, "Tiago is fine!"

Anna Netrebko and tenor Yusif Eyvazov (43) have been married since the end of 2015. Netrebko's son Tiago, born in 2008, comes from the relationship (2007-2013) with bass-baritone Erwin Schrott (47).
