What do your children think of Annalena Baerbock’s new post as Foreign Minister? She has now talked about it openly on a talk show.
Annalena Baerbock (40, Bündnis90 / Die Grünen) has in the Radio Bremen talk show “3nach9” recently talked about her everyday family life as a mother of two and what changes her new job as Federal Foreign Minister will bring with it. They would “of course” not be absent, since the ministerial post is associated with a lot of trips. The older of her two daughters was aware of this, explained Baerbock. “She understood when I said that I represented Germany in the world.” Nevertheless, she reacted in astonishment – and a little skeptical. “In the world? Oh dear,” she said loudly Baerbock.
It is important to her that her children know where her mother is when she is not at home. That’s why she took her daughters on a tour in the campaign bus during the last federal election campaign. “They thought it was great to sit in front of the bus drivers,” she recalled. Every family has to deal with new challenges independently. “There is never a template or blueprint that you can copy one hundred percent – it is the same in family life.”
