Anne-Sophie Mutter: Star violinist with Corona gives the all-clear

Star violinist Anne-Sophie Mutter (56) has made public on Facebook that she has tested positive for the corona virus. She was in quarantine at home, she told her fans in a video, and assume that she will recover completely. At first she thought the diagnosis was "a complete disaster". In her case – at 56 and as a non-smoker – it was not too bad. In an interview with "Presse am Sonntag", she now also reveals: "Fortunately, the disease runs without complications for me, so there is no need to worry."

Mother also appealed to everyone to limit social contacts as much as possible to stop the spread. In addition, she explained about her own situation, which means nothing dramatic: "In a way, my sabbatical, which I have planned for 2021, has moved forward. The concerts, which I cannot play now, will be moved to next year." Her own fate, "everything I had to deal with and process with difficulty" was also nothing compared to that of the refugees on Lesbos, for example.
