Defense Minister Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer (58) has gone into quarantine as a precaution, as her ministry announced on Monday. She had been informed that a person tested positive for Covid-19 in her private life, with whom she last had contact eight days ago. The Corona warning app also displayed a red warning signal on Sunday.

The message from the Federal Ministry of Defense also states: "The minister did a corona test – with a negative result." As a precaution, Kramp-Karrenbauer is going to quarantine for the next six days so that there is a total of 14 days away from contact.
