A 46-year-old man from the district of Weiz wanted to convince the investigating police that his wife would use the system to grow lettuce plants; instead, officers found cannabis flowers in storage jars in a family home.
The executive had received an anonymous tip that there should be addictive substances in a single-family home. The officers checked. At the time, only the husband was home, who told the cops – possibly unsuspecting actually – to look around. There was only a small plant where his wife (54) cultivated lettuce plants. The officials did not find any lettuce in a kind of shower stall. But an indoor plantation, several hundred grams of cannabis blossoms and tea blends, filled in storage jars. The couple is now being reported to the public prosecutor in Graz.
