Taylor Swift is celebrating a record again: The 33-year-old is the most played artist on Spotify in 2023.
She breaks records like no one else: musician Taylor Swift breaks a record again, she is the “Artist of the Year” on Spotify. Even before the full annual evaluation, Spotify announced that Swift had the most streams.
According to the streaming service, the 33-year-old was the world’s most streamed artist of 2023 with more than 26.1 billion streams since January 1st. The American singer has thus dethroned Puerto Rican star Bad Bunny, who held the coveted title for three years from 2020 held consecutively.
He is at number two in 2023, followed by The Weeknd at number three, Drake at number four and regional Mexican musician Peso Pluma at number five.
The pop star thanked her streaming fans for her global success by releasing a song. “I’ve been thinking about how to thank you and many of you have asked me to put “You’re Losing Me (From The Vault)” on streaming platforms, so here you go!” Swift wrote on Instagram and now made the song available to their streaming fans. According to the industry publication “Variety”, the song was offered exclusively on their website in May. The song was also released on CD on their current world tour.
The successful artist is currently touring the world with her “The Eras Tour”. Swift will perform on the biggest stages worldwide until the end of 2024. The all-rounder also makes headlines off stage; she is in a relationship with HFL player Travis Kelce.
