Another VPN service quits India to evade new regulations

StrongVPN’s turn to withdraw from the Indian market

StrongVPN will continue to enforce our zero traffic logging policy, and as a result, we have decided to retire our VPN servers located in India “.

Remember that the directive put in place by the CERT-In (for Computer Emergency Response Team) in India notably requires companies to store data such as subscribers’ first/last names, rental period and assigned IPs. The user’s email address as well as his address and telephone number or the purpose of the use of the services are also requested data. Measures that go against the services offered precisely by the very popular VPNs, many of which are therefore fleeing the country.
