Ant-Man 3: has Marvel's new super villain found?

In "Ant-Man 3" allegedly a new villain appears who has what it takes to wreak havoc in other Marvel films.

Actor Jonathan Majors (31, "Lovecraft Country") is set to become the new villain in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The 31-year-old has been selected for one of the main roles in the next "Ant-Man" film alongside Paul Rudd (51) and Evangeline Lilly (41), reports "Deadline". This is not officially confirmed, but citing insiders, the US industry portal writes "that he will probably play the super villain Kang the Conqueror" – further appearances in future Marvel films apparently not excluded.

It is possible that he appears differently in the film, "Deadline" continues, but in the comics Kang is a time traveler who has already fought fights with all superheroes from Thor to Spider-Man to the entire Avengers team . And after Thanos has had his day as a super villain, the MCU needs a successor for the films of "Phase 4" – fans are already speculating whether Kang will be this one. After all, time travel was the big topic in "Avengers: Endgame".

The film will be "big"

It is not yet clear when "Ant-Man 3" will be released. Peyton Reed, 56, will direct the film again and he has already announced: "The third 'Ant-Man' will be a much bigger and more extensive film than the first two."
