US actor Anthony Anderson was injured while filming an upcoming action thriller and had to be hospitalized.

Anthony Anderson (53) was injured during a botched fight scene while filming a new film. The US actor announced this on Instagram. Fortunately, Anderson apparently got off relatively lightly, even if he had to be taken to hospital.

On Instagram Anderson posted a picture showing him on a stretcher. He has a smile on his face and with his right hand he extends an upside-down victory sign towards the camera. In the attached comment, the 53-year-old explains what exactly happened.

Anthony Anderson: “Me versus two bats and a chair”

“I spent the night in the emergency room. A fight on a movie set went wrong. It was me versus two goons and a chair,” Anderson writes. Despite the certainly painful incident, he is in the mood to joke: “Guess who didn’t win! Who needs a stuntman? That’s probably me! I’m not as young as I used to be!”

Anderson further explains that a computer tomography (CT) was done and he was x-rayed. No broken bones were found, but the actor had a serious bruise on his back. “The chair will never be the same again,” he jokes. In a second post he also shows the chair “that kicked my ass last night! Something about it is threatening! […] When I arrived on set today he was grinning at me! The asshole doesn’t know I have something for him!”

Using one of the attached hashtags, Anderson explains that the incident occurred on the set of the upcoming action thriller “G20.” After the Hollywood double strike last year, production had according to a report by the industry portal “Deadline” started again just a few days ago. In addition to Anderson, who is known from the series “Black-ish”, among others, Oscar winner Viola Davis (58), “The Boys” star Antony Starr (48), Marsai Martin (19) and Elizabeth Marvel (54) also play.
