Anthony Hopkins made Oscar history with his award. He celebrates triumph in a special way.

Hollywood veteran Anthony Hopkins (83) recently made history at the Oscars. The Briton was honored for his performance in “The Father” as best male leading actor – and thus became the oldest actor to have won the award in this category so far. In a short video clip on Instagram, Hopkins celebrates his success in an extraordinary way – and shows how active he is even in old age.

Colleague celebrates with “the king”

The clip was not shared by Hopkins himself, but his colleague Salma Hayek (54). This is celebrating “with the king”, she writes about the short video in which the two perform a little dance together. Hopkins winks mischievously at the camera.

Maybe the whole thing should be a little nod to the fact that the actor didn’t give a acceptance speech at the Oscars. Due to the corona pandemic, he was unable to travel to the USA and slept through the ceremony. “Tony was in Wales, where he grew up, and he was sleeping at 4:00 AM when I woke him up to tell him the news,” said Hopkins’ agent Jeremy Barber the US magazine “People”. The actor himself later thanked Instagram.
