After all the controversies surrounding the presence of the National Rally at the march against anti-Semitism, Marine Le Pen made it known upon her arrival “that she was where she should be”. The president of the RN group in the National Assembly marched at the back of the Parisian procession, surrounded by her political family.

The National Rally was very present in the procession of the march against anti-Semitism, in the streets of Paris, this Sunday. 65 RN deputies made up the last political procession to parade. For two hours they advanced in line. In the center, Marine Le Pen and her right arm, Jordan Bardella. Both chose not to wear their tricolor scarf, unlike the rest of their elected officials.

The presence of the RN divides within the march itself

As the journey progressed, various slogans were heard: “Marine is with us”, “Marine president”, but also “Marine, get out of the way”. The presence of the party, which has indeed sparked controversy for several days, still divides, within the march itself: “she is not there for the Jews, she has nothing to do with them in my opinion”, believes a protester. “I will never vote for Marine, I am more of a Macronist, but I think it is good that everyone is demonstrating today against anti-Semitism and for the Republic,” according to this other demonstrator.

Furthermore, at the very beginning of the afternoon, a few altercations took place after the attempt by the Jewish collective, “Le Golem”, to block the National Rally procession, in the name of the fight against anti-Semitism and racism: “We are here against the extreme right, we are left-wing Jews against anti-Semitism,” declared one of the members of the collective.

Despite a few incidents, the entire march took place calmly and with dignity. The organizers requested the dispersal of the participants of the march on the Place Edmond Rostand, the final destination of this transpartisan march, while people continued to arrive on the square, a few hours after the head of the procession.
