An accident in Mattersberg (East Tyrol) ended tragically. Any help came too late for a 52-year-old.
The 52-year-old from East Tyrol left a mountain farm in Mattersberg at around 10.30 a.m. and drove his car towards the valley.
Crashed 20 meters
For reasons that were still unknown, the man turned off the road in a right-hand bend and fell about twenty meters into a ditch with the car. The vehicle stayed on the roof.
Only discovered hours later
Around 4 p.m. other road users saw the wreck lying in the ditch and immediately started the rescue chain.
The emergency doctor could only determine the death of the 52-year-old.
