Anya Taylor-Joy and Nicole Kidman turned heads at the premiere of ‘The Northman’ in very different looks.
Anya Taylor-Joy (26) and Nicole Kidman (54) did not miss the premiere of their new film “The Northman” last Monday in Los Angeles. The actresses became eye-catchers with contrasting looks.
Kidman wore a lime green high-necked Prada gown with sparkling appliqués at the bottom of the dress. The feathers in coral attached to the shoulders became an eye-catcher. Her hair was loosely pulled back into a bun, with individual strands framing her face. When it came to accessories, she chose a shiny silver clutch and silver stud earrings and rings. Taylor-Joy opted for a simple white Dior dress with a halterneck, which was particularly effective due to the filigree collar embroidered with pearls. Her hair was braided and she wore black mascara for her makeup. Rings, bracelets and earrings in white and gold rounded off the elegant look.
In an interview with the US magazine “People” the two got enthusiastic about working together on the adventure thriller. Calling her co-star “wild and wonderful,” Taylor-Joy went on to say of Kidman, “I just have the utmost respect for her.” The 54-year-old said of her younger colleague: “She’s so funny and just lovely; I can’t praise her enough. She just has courage and heart, what more could you ask for?”
Viking film “The Northman”
That’s what “The Northman” is about (theatrical release: April 21, 2022): Years have passed since Viking king Aurvandil (Ethan Hawke, 51) was murdered in an attack from behind. His son Amleth (Alexander Skarsgård), who witnessed the bloody crime as a child, returns to Iceland physically hardened, determined to exact ruthless vengeance, save his mother Gudrun (Nicole Kidman) and defeat the murderer Fjölnir (Claes Bang, 54 ) accountable.
