Apex Legends Breaks New Player Record (Steam), With Dissent Season – Apex Legends

At the beginning of February, Apex Legends celebrated its third birthday, which coincided with the release of Season 12, Dissent. Very often, these season launches allow the battle royale to see its number of players increase, since many of them want to discover the new features, and in particular the new Legend. For Dissent, no fewer than 392,998 users took to the battlefields simultaneously, which is quite simply a record.

If the number is already impressive, it is even more so when we know that on PC, a large part of the community plays through Origin, platform of Electronic Arts, since Apex Legends was, until as of November 2020, not available on Steam. This new record is also explained by the addition of a temporary mode in Apex Legends, Control mode, similar to capture the flag. Playable in 9 against 9, it offers a whole new experience, which could well appeal to players and become permanent thereafter.

In the meantime, we remind you that the Dissidence season patch notes are available here, if you want to discover all the new features. If you haven’t taken the plunge yet, we remind you that Apex Legends is available free-to-play, on PC, PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.

If you want more information about Apex Legends or join an active community to share pleasant moments with other players, we invite you to join the Apex Legends France community Discord.
