Apex Legends Mobile: Release, how to pre-register and more

After months of waiting, Respawn Entertainment finally seems ready to bring its battle royale experience to mobile. Here’s everything you need to know about Apex Legends Mobile.

As Apex Legends recently celebrated its third candle, Respawn Entertainment’s battle royale is more than ever at a turning point. If players usually only have eyes for the next season which is beginning to loom on the horizon, another event could well distract them.

Indeed, Respawn Entertainment has finally decided to make the battle royale available on mobiles. The icing on the cake, some players will have the chance to access it in advance.

Does Apex Legends Mobile already have a release date?

Unfortunately, there is currently no official release date for Apex Legends Mobile. However, it is already possible to pre-register for access.

Originally, pre-registration was only open to players from certain countries, but now all players can access it, except those residing in China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, Russia as well as in Belarus.

Although no hint has been given as to the release date, some leaks suggest that the official launch could take place in April 2022, if not it will probably be during the summer.

How do I pre-register for Apex Legends Mobile?

Pre-registrations are now open worldwide. Players can sign up to play Apex Legends Mobile on the App Store or Google Play Store.

The problem is that pre-registration does not guarantee that you will be able to play Apex Legends Mobile from the start. Anyway, this does not seem to stop many people, since more than 7.5 million players have already taken the plunge.

It must also be said that pre-registration allows you to recover various rewards depending on the number of pre-registrations.

Gameplay of Apex Legends Mobile

The gameplay of Apex Legends Mobile will be inherently similar to that of battle royale, with the same weapons and mechanics.

There could still be small differences like unlimited ammo in the range or detailed stats for each weapon, if the changes spotted in the beta last until launch.

When first entering the game, players will be able to choose from a smaller number of legends than in the main game. The Closed Beta currently only includes Bloodhound, Gibraltar, Lifeline, Wraith, Bangalore, Caustic, Octane, Mirage, and Pathfinder.

Respawn Entertainment

Not all battle royale legends will be on the mobile version.

Interestingly, Respawn has confirmed that mobile gamers will be able to “discover new mobile-first Legends with new stories to tell”. So it looks like Apex Legends Mobile will be getting new Legends before the main game, at least for a while.

A third person perspective

Third-person perspective is another feature available only on Mobile, aside from an easter egg that players can activate in the firing range of the PC and console versions.

In the mobile version, players can switch between third and first person, depending on their preference. However, it should be noted that when in third person, players have a better view of their surroundings.

Apex Legends Mobile Maps

In the Closed Beta, the only map available was World’s End. This could change when the game is released, with King’s Canyon or Olympus, but for now, there is only End of the World.

The developers also announced that some new maps would be released on mobile first, which matches what dataminers discovered beforehand.
