Rescue Season in Apex Legends, what’s new
In a few days, we will be able to discover Rescue season in Apex Legends, which will, as always, bring its share of new features in the battle royale of Respawn and EA. This season will not see the arrival of new cards, but Storm Zone will be back in a new version, with, in particular, a new zone. A new Legend, Newcastlealso makes its arrival, while the ranked mode is modified, and the Control mode will be back.

Newcastle, new Legend
As we told you, Newcastle arrives as a new Legend in the battle royale. For the first time in a very long time, this is a character whose abilities are more defensive, aimed at protecting his partners. He can, for example, set up a shield, or recharge the shield of teammates. Also, historically, we know that Newcastle is the brother of Bangaloreand that he is not the first person to don this outfit, as explained in the story trailer about him.
Modified storm area
The fourth map of the battle royale, located in a tropical environment, Storm Zone, will be present for this thirteenth season, but with some modifications. For example, a new area has appeared to the north, with the carcass of an underwater creature, which promises to be rich in loot. In the same idea, rooms have come out of the ground, armories to be more precise, in which it is possible to find high-level equipment. Change for Ranked mode
the Apex Legends ranked mode will also evolve with the Rescue season. As explained by the developers, the purpose of these changes is to encourage players to play as a team, and not just for their points. For example, all players will now receive points for team kills. There will also no longer be a kill limit. The assists will also be more prominent, with a delay going from 10 to 15 seconds. Finally, one of the last major changes is the fact that rank demotion will be enabled.
Return from Control mode
Introduced on the occasion of season 12, the Control mode, rather well appreciated by players, will indeed be back with the Rescue season. However, it will not be available as soon as it arrives, but later, during the month of June. Several changes will be made, although they have not yet been detailed.
Rescue Season Release Date
All these new features and changes will be available from May 10, on Apex Legends, through the update that will be deployed on that date. We will come back to you as soon as new information is shared.
