Unsurprisingly, and as teased by the developers, Storm Zone will experience some changes on May 10, the release date of the new season of Apex Legends. This is the first update for this map, the fourth in the battle royale, and the changes are quite significant, as you can see below.

New point of interest
Since Storm Zone is right in the middle of an ocean, there are plenty of sea creatures. One of them, a prehistoric monster has also come very close to the coast, to take up residence on the northwestern part of the island.. This new area, called the Creature slain, also sees the ECHO unit arrive, which comes to clean it up. Moreover, the latter will be an important place to find quality loot, since it is a major crossroads between several points of interest.
The carcass also allows anyone who dares to venture inside to find very interesting loot, and you can take advantage of the various zip lines to escape or engage in combat, especially since the top of it is a position preferential.
The IMC Armory, new PvE event
Available in several places on the map, the IMC armories had been buried for decades, but as a result of the creature’s attack, these hangars rose to the surface, filled with loot, obviously. Nevertheless, to get your hands on this hoard, you will have to survive waves of Specters for 60 seconds. The more Ghosts eliminated, the better the rewards. Be aware that during this confrontation, the doors of the armory will be closed, so that other players do not come to spoil the party.
Once your business is done, you can exit through the door or eject yourself into the sky, to get to a more interesting place.
In addition to all this, various changes to improve the map will be part of the game, whether in terms of optimization or balancing. All of this will be available to discover on May 10, the release date of Apex Legends’ Rescue season.
