Apple: a 15-inch MacBook Air and MacBook Oled on the program?

If the most credible rumors about the next Apple releases logically concern the MacBook Pro M2 Pro and M2 Max which were to be announced at the end of the year, others have been circulating widely for a few days.

New things, but not for now

According to analyst Ross Young, who specializes in screens of all kinds, we can expect two interesting panels. First, the arrival of a 15.5-inch MacBook Air, a format that many users are watching, since the computer has only been available in 13.3 inches for years – unless you go for the Pro models available in 14 and 16 inches (much) more expensive. According to Young, production of this MacBook Air should start in the first quarter of 2023, and we could see them announced as early as spring.

Later, MacBooks equipped with Oled screens would replace the current Mini-Led versions. A technology that has advantages in terms of contrast and precise control of lighting, but which offers a luminosity and a lifespan much lower than that of the Mini-Led. The horizon is that said even further, since the Oled models should not see the light of day before 2024!

For the moment, it is impossible to know which ranges of MacBooks will be able to benefit from it, or even if it is not a brand new computer that will be equipped with it. As for the dates, we will unfortunately have to wait before knowing more. So be patient…
