Notice to Apple collectors, an auction is getting ready, with a few nuggets up for grabs.

In total, more than 500 products made in Apple will be sold to the highest bidders.

One of Apple’s largest collections to be auctioned

It’s official, Julien’s Auctions is going to organize a historic auction by bringing together more than 500 machines produced by the giant Apple over the past 50 years. It is the “Hanspeter Luzi Vintage Apple Archive” collection that will be offered to fans, a collection carefully assembled over many years by a Swiss entrepreneur.

For those interested, this auction will take place on Thursday, March 30, 2023 at Julien’s Auctions gallery in Beverly Hills, but it will also be accessible online on the auction house’s website.

Apple antiques and real collectibles

Among the various objects put up for sale, we will notably find a collection of Apple computers developed between 1977 and 2008. Some will notably be able to bid on a Lisa 1 computer (for Local Integrated Software Architecture) from 1983, whose sale price is estimated between 10,000 and 20,000 dollars.

We can also get our hands on a Macintosh Plus from 1986, with keyboard and mouse, for an estimated price of between 300 and 500 dollars. Added to this will be a 2001 iMac G3 “Blue Dalmatian”, a 1994 QuickTake 100 camera, an Apple Joystick from 1983 and a Summagraphics MacTablet from the early 80s.

Recently, a first-generation iPhone, still in its original packaging, was sold at auction for the modest sum of… 63,356 dollars, or approximately 59,400 euros. Better (or worse) still, at the end of last year, Steve Jobs’ Birkenstocks sandals were sold by this same Julien’s Auctions for more than 200,000 dollars.
